The Outrun the Sun Race Against Melanoma is the largest evening event of its kind in the United States supporting skin cancer education/prevention and melanoma research. This unique evening event keeps participants out of the sun's harsh daytime ultraviolet rays.

The event engages communities, provides a venue for education, and generates financial support through sponsorships, donations and registration fees. Since its inception in 2005 in Indianapolis, more than $450,000 has been raised to support OTS skin cancer education and melanoma research programming.
