Out Run the Sun, Inc.

MISSION
Outrun the Sun, Inc. is dedicated to building national awareness of melanoma and other skin cancers, educating communities about preventive measures that reduce melanoma’s incidence rate, and to raising funds for melanoma research, leading to effective treatments and a potential cure.

Inspiration

In August 2002, John Busse, age 79, and Gary Patton, age 40, lost their lives to melanoma. They and their families walked the same road that many late-stage melanoma patients and families travel. It’s a road filled with fear, frustration and eventual hopelessness. Together Jennifer Patton, Marci Reddick, Jonna MacDougall and Anita Day created Outrun the Sun, Inc.
